When it comes to bad guys smuggling drugs, the U.S. Coast Guard drug interdiction team is our first line of defense. They police an incredible six million square miles to protect our nation from the influx of illegal substances and all the related crimes that come with it. Recently, these good guys reached out to us in need of a custom case capable of keeping their weapons safe and sound during transport to and from patrol boats.
The most significant challenge was the harsh marine environments that the weapons would be exposed to. With that in mind, we used a Pelican Storm IM3220 outer case specially designed to keep its contents clean and dry in any environment. Then, to provide another level of powerful protection, we used our waterjet-cutting technology to engineer custom foam interiors that fit each weapon like a glove.
