Large weapon delivery systems can be extremely dangerous for the soldiers who man them. However, in recent years, the use of precision air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and munition has made these delivery systems much safer. As you can imagine, the protection of the high-tech tools used to keep these weapons ship-shape is a top priority to our military. So, when we were approached to design a custom tool kit case for that purpose, we knew it was serious business.
Going in, we understood that this tool kit case would need to be incredibly strong yet light, and it would need to allow the engineers to do their jobs efficiently. To address the “strong and light” factor, we used a Pelican Storm case. Then we used advanced waterjet cutting techniques to construct a custom foam interior with the ideal fit for each instrument. We also configured an instrument layout for optimal visual inventory.
