When dealing with valuable cargo, there’s no substitute for a quality case. An American ophthalmologist approached us in need of such a case for his ophthalmic scope – a device that’s central to his medical practice. He was planning to travel to developing countries to deliver eye exams and treatment to underserved communities, in addition to traveling within the U.S. for outpatient and in-office care. We chose a custom Pelican case for this customer because we knew it would provide unparalleled durability while in transit.
Beginning with a lightweight, injection-molded Pelican Storm case that was sized to fit the scope and its accessories, we set out to create something that would meet the doctor’s unique needs. We selected the Pelican Storm line because it can easily withstand the rigors of air and ground transportation while protecting against wet or dusty ambient conditions. We coupled this custom Pelican case with a high-density, waterjet-cut foam interior, painstakingly designed to securely cradle the valuable scope.
