When any disaster strikes, first responders rely on maximum protection for their mission-critical gear. The Minnesota Department of Homeland Security looked to us to create a custom carrying case to house and protect their vital Motorola handheld radios in extreme situations.
Our packaging specialist selected a light duty Pelican Storm case. Renowned for durability and dependability, these injection-molded cases are waterproof, weatherproof and designed for maximum shock absorption and resistance to extreme temperatures. They also met Military Spec (MIL-SPEC), a requirement of the agency.
We lined the case’s interior with our fabricated polyethylene foam to accommodate the radio charging station (which needed to be operable within the case), the converter, six handheld radios and their antennae. After customizing foam for the top and bottom of the case, all accessories fit precisely, keeping the radios protected, charged and ready for action at a moment’s notice.
